The Silom Galleria Art Space is proud to present the Contemporary vernacular designer inspired by the environment, under the “Mountain to Ocean” Exhibition. Better known for the brand Osisu, Professor Singha Intrachooto Ph.D., Design Principal was in charge of managing the design aspects. What sets this particular exhibition apart from previous exhibitions is the fact that the artworks presented aren't made from the brushstrokes we're familiar with. Instead, this exhibition will showcase art from a different branch that heavily draws from and anchors its roots in society.
Born from Dr. Singha's detail-oriented inclination and extensive research, one can categorize the exhibited artworks under an altogether different branch of contemporary are. Great emphases were placed on theories and innovations that in turn allowed him to create designs that can be used to care for the environment. As it is Dr. Singha's expertise, each work, including designs of buildings, interior space and furniture, was put through a screening process and intentionally made from excess materials discarded at construction sites. However, the main materials the designer uses are leftover materials from factories and everyday life. The underlying issue presented within each design is society's responsibility and the reality of our very often overlooked environment.
